One of Hamas members has been killed in an explosion at a house near Gaza City, said the militant group.
The man died while on “a holy mission”, term which is often used when a member dies accidentally, while handling explosives.

Photographs made public on Monday show people sunbathing on an Italian beach, just a few metres away from the bodies of two dead Roma children (photo, from aljazeera.net). On a popular beach near Naples, the bodies of the girls, laid out under towels.

An incident, caught on film, that seems to show a soldier shooting a rubber bullet at a bound and blindfolded Palestinian, has been condemned by Israel’s defence minister.
The case was “grave and wrong” said Ehud Barak (photo, from cnn.net), adding that the military would exact the full extent of the law.

After more than a decade on the run, Radovan Karadzic (photo), Bosnian Serb war crimes suspect and one of the world’s most wanted man, has been arrested on Monday, near Belgrade, the Serbian capital. He disappeared in 1996, after being the Bosnian Serb wartime political leader.
