By taking $66.4m, Batman film, The Dark Knight, has set a single-day box office record on its opening night, said distributor Warner Bros.
The studio added that the movie, which debuted on Friday in the US, and has surpassed the previous record of $59.8m, set last year by Spider-Man 3.

Geert Wilders, a Dutch right-wing politician, won’t be able to release his film on the website he picked, because it’s been shut.
Network Solutions, the US hosting service that Mr Wilders has been using to promote the film, said it was investigating complaints it received that said it may have breached guidelines on hate language.
