For committing what a judge has said was adultery, a Somali woman has been stoned to death.
On Tuesday, the 20-year-old divorcee was executed. She had previously confessed to having had sex with a 29-year-old unmarried man.

Iran has opened the first trial of people allegedly involved in post-election violence. The charges included rioting, vandalism, “acting against national security”, and conspiring against the ruling system, state media reported.

A coalition agreement with the Yisrael Beitenu party has been signed by Benjamin Netanyahu, the designated Israeli prime minister and leader of the Likud party.
