Before flying out to Singapore, the former prince was picture arriving at the airport, reportedly with two bodyguards and his brother-in-law.

The editor of Jana Astha, a weekly paper known for its royal stories, was quoted as saying Paras was concerned for the safety of his wife and three young children and was planning to leave Nepal for good.

But Mr Shah said he did not believe Paras was concerned for his family’s security in Nepal.

Nonetheless, there have been press reports about the princess being worried about that very issue.

Because he is the son of ex-King Gyanendra, Paras was the first in line to the throne, and among Nepalis he was unpopular, because of his drunken antics and playboy lifestyle.

In travelling, the prince was enjoying the advantages of being a commoner, which is what he became when a new assembly abolished the monarchy in May, said one observer here.

For two years after the failure of a period of direct royal rule, his movements had been restricted, as were his father’s.

PLEASE SPREAD WIDELY!!!!!
RALLY FOR AUNG SAN SUU KYI!!
September 17TH @ 4:00PM
Myanmar Mission
( 10 East 77th Street New York, N.Y. 10075 )
On September 18th in Rangoon an appeal against the extended house arrest of human rights defender and prisoner of conscience Aung San Suu Kyi will be heard. Although Suu Kyi has spent nearly 14 of the last 20 years in detention, her sentence was extended by 18 months for breaching security laws last August.
Join us as we rally on September 17th at 4:00pm to call on the government of Myanmar to free Aung San Suu Kyi and all prisoners of conscience.
For more information on our rally please contact: tmcharris@aiusa.org or 212.633.4215
For more information on Aung San Suu Kyi please see below:
Aung San Suu Kyi co-founded the National League for Democracy (NLD), a pro-democracy political party that sought to counter the military junta that has reigned over Myanmar since 1962. In 1990, the NLD won almost 80 percent of the parliamentary seats in a general election. Surprised by the landslide victory, the military junta refused to transfer power to Aung San Suu Kyi and the NLD, and jailed scores of political activists.
For nearly 14 of the past 20 years, Aung San Suu has endured detention, house arrest and restrictions on her movement.

The age-old pesky U.S.-Mexico border problem has taxed the resources of both countries, led to long lists of injustices, and appears to be heading only for worse troubles in the future. Guess what? The border problem can never be solved. Why? Because the border IS the problem! It's time for a paradigm change.

Never fear, a satisfying, comprehensive solution is within reach: the Megamerge Dissolution Solution. Simply dissolve the border along with the failed Mexican government, and megamerge the two countries under U.S. law, with mass free 2-way migration eventually equalizing the development and opportunities permanently, with justice and without racism, and without threatening U.S. sovereignty or basic principles.
