Opposition party offended after ‘Nazi’ comparison in Japan

Tipped to be Japan’s next prime minister, Taro Aso, the secretary-general of the ruling party, has offended the main opposition party by apparently likening them to the Nazis.

Nazi ‘Dr Death’ alive in Chile

The Simon Wiensenthal Centre say there are strong evidence suggesting that the most wanted member of Hitler’s regime, known as Dr Death, is hiding in southern Chile.
Nazi hunters believe that Aribert Heim (photo, from rue89.com) is in Patagonia, where lives his daughter. Representatives have been sent to the region by the centre, in order to pursue the search. (more…)

A 600 000 euro concrete memorial has been inaugurated in Germany, to honour the thousands of homosexuals that were persecuted by the Nazis between 1933 and 1945.
Unveiled in Berlin, the monument (photo, from metronews.ca) is four-metre high and shows, through a window, a film of two men kissing. (more…)
