A Pakistani anti-terrorism court has ordered the arrest of two senior police officers on Sunday.

Thursday was the end of the 40-day period of mourning after the assassination of Pakistan’s former PM, Benazir Bhutto. To mark that day, her supporters pledged to win this month election.

Asif Ali Zardari, her widower and political heir, talked to thousands of people who came from all over the country to attend the prayer service. They gathered at the Bhutto mausoleum, in Sindh province. Asif Ali Zardari claimed he was ready to be “martyred” to fulfil Benazir Bhutto’s “mission”. (more…)

Pakistani former Prime Minister , Benazir Bhutto, was assassinated on Thursday. She was in Rawalpindi, which is seen as one of the country’s most secure cities. Ms Bhutto was leaving an election rally when a gunman shot her in the neck and chest, and then blew himself up. (more…)
