After Russia’s conflict with Georgia, Ukraine has said it is ready to make its missile early warning systems available to European nations. The country’s foreign ministry said thanks to Moscow’s abrogation, earlier this year, of an accord involving two tracking stations, Ukraine is allowed to co-operate with others.

The Ukrainian president,Viktor Yushchenko, has criticised his parliamentary coalition allies, after they blocked him from taking the podium for his annual address to the legislature.

Loyal to the prime minister, Yulia Tymoshenko, parliament members encircled the podium on Tuesday, and one of them occupied the speaker’s chair.
