Olympic tourists stabbed by Chinese man

Two US tourists and a Chinese tour guide have been attacked by a Chinese man, who killed one of the Americans, before killing himself by jumping to his death from the second storey of the Drum Tower (photo), which is a popular tourist spot. (more…)
China-Taiwan direct flights started

The first regular, direct flight from China to Taiwan has landed at Taipei’s airport.
Wang Yi, China’s top official said it signalled “a new start” in exchanges, as it’s been nearly 60 years since a plane came from China to Taiwan. (more…)
